Abstract:

The representation of the ruler´s power is important for the state at any time. It is especially multifaceted and complex in the 17th century in the Moscow Kingdom after the time of troubles, because a new Romanov dynasty is being established. In this regard, genealogical trees are created to strengthen the authority and build the continuity with the Rurikovichs, which have incorporated the concept and attributes of power. This gender approach is equally important for revealing the image of the ruler, which is used in this study.
