Abstract:

The article analyzes the translation into English of «Scarlet Sails» by A. Green, a Russian prose writer and a representative of neo-romanticism of the last century. In the analysis, the main attention is paid to the style-forming factors, a list of techniques used by the translator including lexical transformations is also considered.
