Abstract:

The article raises the problem of creating a literary reputation and its future existence in the form of a myth. The need for a biased analysis of the period of the history of Russian journalism, literature and criticism in the Nicholas epoch is sharpened. We have done the analysis of one example - the relationships of FaddeyBulgarin and NikolayGrech. The results of the research made it clear how important it is to cover the maximum amount of sources in order to draw conclusions about personalities with an established reputation.
